Holiday Program
About THE MECHANIC
This year our popular robotics program is offering classes with 2 different LEGO Education robot sets. SPIKE Prime is the newest model from LEGO Education while MINDSTORMS EV3 is the long lasting one that is still widely used. The coding interface is very similar but the building experience is different.
SPIKE Prime Program
Our SPIKE Program allows students to explore the possibilities of smart machines and simple robots. Learn how to control motors, understand the usage of sensors, and practice the 4 major simple machines (Gears, Pulleys, Levers, Wheels and Axles). Students will be challenged with real life scenarios so they can put what they have learnt into use.
Learning Equipment: LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Set
Coding Language: SPIKE PRIME App (Scratch Based)
Medium of Instruction: English
Students to Teacher ratio: 6:1
Sample Rundown:
Introduction to today's topic
Follow instruction to build a sample model
Coding time
Add-on own design and solution to the model
MINDSTORMS EV3
(Only available on 19-22 July and 26-29 July)
Our EV3 Program allows students to explore the possibilities of robots and machines. Learn how to control motors, understand the usage of sensors, and practicing their building skills. Students will be challenged with real life scenarios so they can put what they have learnt into use.

Progressive Curriculum
Each student will be given a mission list, based on their experience and learning progress they could finish the mission on their own schedule. Each student's experience could be differ based on how many days they will join.
Day 1: Driving Around
Day 2: Playing with Objects
Day 3: Getting Smart (Sensors usage)
The first week includes the basic training of controlling a LEGO Education Robot. If students participate more than a week, they will be challenged with more advanced tasks that revolve around the Space topics.
