Code Creator
What is the Code Creator Program?
The Code Creator Program will introduce students to the concepts of coding with story driven topics. Student will learn how to bring their creations to life and generate excitement, engagement and curiosity.
Designed for Age 6 and up
Investigating, modeling and designing solutions
Learn about the concept of engineering, design, trial and error
Build up basic coding skills
Enhance their understanding of Simple Machines (Gears, Pulleys, Levers, Wheels and Axles)
Collaborate and work on presentation skills
Learning and Teaching Equipment
We believe learning should be fun and interactive. Therefore we have been using LEGO Education Products as our primary tools since 2011. By using LEGO parts for learning, students will gain more confident because they are using the familiar parts, and also having infinite possibilities to create their models and solutions.
Equipment that we use in class:
LEGO Education SPIKE Essential (45345)
All students are required to bring in their own sets and iPad to class
Student Workbook
To keep track of ideas, design and debugging
Curriculum
The Code Creator program contains 48 topics that will help generate curiosity and engagement. Each topic introduce a new adventure for the students to dive into, and seek out mechanical and coding solutions to help the characters in the book.
Students will learn the concept of coding (Motors, Sensors and logic blocks), debugging and apply them onto their creations. From following building instruction to tackling open-end problems, students will learn about the basics of engineering designing, testing and troubleshoot.
